Good Luck

Image of Good Luck

這本書的表達形式,跟 Mitch Albom 的 “The Five People You Meet in Heaven” 等幾本書很相似,書的結尾有一章總結全書重點。

“Success is not a result of the will to win. Everyone has that. Great success comes as a result of the willingness to prepare to win.”

“Opportunities exist all around you, every day, but if you are not alert and aware to these possibilities, you can walk right past them and not notice.”

“… He wanted to confirm with one more person what he already knew: that no clover would grow in the Enchanted Forest; that he was a man with no luck … that’s one of the characteristics of people who think that they have no luck. They look for other people who will confirm their way of thinking. Feeling like a victim is not a pleasant feeling, but it does free you from the responsibility of misfortune.” (p. 71)

“In fact, those who expect to find luck always believe they can find it easily and with no effort.” (p. 92)

“Contrary to what many believe, I don’t give out luck, I just make sure it is distributed equally. The Magic Clovers germinated because you created the right conditions. Anybody who had done the same would have created Good Luck too… The problem is that almost everybody thinks that they don’t need to do anything… Luck is the sum of opportunity and preparation. But the opportunity… is always there.” (p. 105)

“This book was written in eight hours, straight through. However, it took us over three years to create it. Some people will only remember the eight hours. Others will only only remember the three years. The first ones will believe we were just lucky. The others will believe that we created the conditions for Good Luck.” (p. 137)
