一代䲷雄的末日：候賽因的臨刑片段

從一個名為 Webmerica.org 的網誌中，找到薩達姆．候賽因被執行死刑前的片段。不知候賽因他老人家臨刑前有甚麼感受，但政治從來都是成王敗寇，勝利者手握絕對的資訊優勢，失敗者只好任人魚肉，成為千古罪人。
我們幾可肯定，美國人口中所說的候賽因，不會是真正的候賽因，或至少不是候賽因的全部。我沒有為候賽因辯護的意思，但如果完全相信美國那一套，認為美國人在伊拉克的軍事行動是正義之戰，為伊拉克人帶來幸福，為世界和平作出貢獻，那就未免把事情看得太簡單。
作者在這件事情上似乎十分興奮。他說：
We show criminals in this country executed on television all the time! Without the “moment of death” on camera, how can we be sure he was killed?
文章引起了一些討論，部份留言者的論點十分之「美國」，或可說是幼稚 (naive)。例如有人說：
Saddam was evil and the world is far better off with him gone –period.
當然持相反觀點的也大有人在，各位可以自己去讀讀。透過這些留言，我們可以局部認識西方人對於候賽因被處死的看法。
Im pretty sure the Iraqi court that convicted him and sentenced him to death ,wouldn’t have any reason at all to fake his death. I mean they wanted him dead obviously. Probably because of the fact his lawyer made a statement that by some legal meens Saddam may be able to return to power!
They wouldn’t want the Iraqi people to think this is even a possibility. So the only way they could ensure this would never happen was to string him up the first chance they had, and thats exactly what they did.
